Meet the Band







Lead Vocals, Guitar, Keys
Sam was raised in a musical family. His mother was an opera singer. His grandfather was a banjo and mandolin player and taught Sam mandolin. Sam turned to guitar in his teens. A machinist by trade, a woodworking background and a painter of vintage cars led him to luthiery and restoration of old instruments. He was a repair tech and was trained by Martin Guitars to become an authorized tech. After 25 years he retired and repairs, restores and sells guitars to stay busy.

Lead Guitar, Vocals
Dave Dziubczynski (Dip-CHIN-ski) has played the guitar for 50 years playing in Country Rock, Disco, & New Wave bands in the 70’s and 80’s, even playing as the only non-Hispanic member of a Latin Salsa band! Dave helped to form the band The Rhythm Method in the early 90’s and played all over northern Delaware. He retired from his regular job to become a full-time guitarist.

Bass, Vocals
Frank started on guitar at 15, but when friends started a band, they needed a bass player. While intending to return to guitar, he gained a reputation as a bassist and played in rock, wedding and jazz-oriented bands. During graduate school, he played with The Rock Crusaders at all the local bars in State College, PA. His passion now is blues, rock and soul music.

Drums, Lead Vocals
Bob Wood has been playing drums since he was 10 years old. He started playing in area clubs when he was 17. In the 70’s he played with many diverse bands. After a 28 year hiatus, he returned to his passion of drumming in 2007 playing in various bands before joining Double Shot.

Congas, Aux Percussion
Brad is the youngest member of Double Shot and is the resident expert on all rock’n’roll history and trivia, a life-long passion. He studied percussion and performed with marching and concert bands. His musical mentors include his grandfather Edwin Englehart, band director Scott Litzenberg, and percussion icon Chad Cooper.

Tenor Saxophone, Vocals
Bill’s love affair with music started early; both parents were professional musicians and educators. He played in The Dukes of Rhythm and The Dimensions, then formed successful bands Mackenzie and Stillwater, followed by a club band Daimon. Bill then focused on his career in printing and returned to music as a founding member of The Draw and Reunion.

Trumpet, Keys, Vocals
Ginny has experienced several styles of music. She played with her first rock band Reunion which morphed into Double Shot. She has played other rock bands, swing bands, and concert bands. She is currently active with 22 Park Avenue Swing Band, Mansfield Brass Quintet, and Chester County Concert Band. In her spare time, she runs the website and email communications.

Lead Vocals. Flute, Sax
Stefanie Seskin began her training on flute. She has performed with bands in NY, NJ & CA as lead vocalist, as bassist and backup vocalist or as a member of the horn section. In 1995 she formed "blue number nine". The group wrote and produced 5 cd’s, toured up and down the East Coast and the midwest and performed to audiences up to 7,000 strong. She also released 2 solo CD's, an EP and a single and has performed in several musicals, one of which she wrote. She has opened for .moe, Chicago and The Average White Band.
